Happy Friday Everyone!! Today you are in for an awesome TREAT!!! The girls on the IE team have been busy creating their project this month, and today is our IE Reveal, so sit back and be prepared to marvel at some of their jaw-dropping art! I know I will! And here we go......
You may recall that the purpose of this challenge group is to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to grow as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and grow. You can view all of the challenges on my blog by clicking here or check our our new Inspiration Elevator Blog, here.
This month's challenge is issued by the super talented, Sue Sykes. Here's what she had to say in her very own words:
"I have all of my parents' photos stored at my place. Shortly after I began scrapbooking, my mom and I spent hours removing her photos from those dreadful magnetic albums and documenting dates on the back of them all. So I will often sift through them and marvel at how much things change - and yet, they also seem to stay the same.
This month, I'd like to challenge you all to create a comparison layout or project - THEN and NOW. It can be any topic; just document the parallels and differences between an event/person/place from the past and a modern likeness. REMEMBER TO JOURNAL!! :)
Can't wait to see what you all create!"

I hope you will stop by and see what our designers on this adventure have created:
I have to say, I found this challenge somewhat easy :) BECAUSE this was something I have been wanting to scrap about for ages! First of all my layout:
I kept the title the same as the challenge title! See this photo:
Yes, that adorable little cutie... is moi! That is me on Bon Echo Beach probably around one year old... playing in the sand and with that boat... LOVED (and secretly still love!) Little People (Shhhh!)
Right before Taylors 1st birthday, I happened to see the SAME boat as Fisher Price was bringing a lot of vintage toys back out... I think I was the most excited about this BUT Taylor also LOVED playing with this boat.... So up we went to the cottage and spent a day at Bon Echo Park playing on the beach with her boat...I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, right?
Thanks for the awesome challenge Sue!!
Have Fun hopping around today with these super talented ladies... your next stop....
Have a great weekend everyone!

How amazing that you not only have a photo of yourself and your little one, but at the same place and playing with the same toy! Brilliant. What a great summery page. Lovely.
I am so impressed! I can't believe you have such similar photos of you and your little one! Your design is awesome - love all the details :)

Jodi! This is awesome! Such a great way to see the same toy so many (and many) years later. Your design is wonderful. The flower, the stamping, and how your background paper really creates a meaningful design!
