Boys Kits Rules Cards

Hi everyone!  Jodi here again today to share with you my last project that I made with the Nov/Dec Kit.  Before I get started though I wanted to say a HUGE thanks for guesting over the last couple of months! I forgot how much fun it is to design with a kit!  I know if you have been on the fence about  ordering a kit, you can't go wrong with this kit (or any kit by Boys Rule Kits!) I especially love that it is so boy orientated! The scrapbook market can sometimes be hard to scrapbook and create boy projects and having all the paper and embellishments  you need at your fingertips is AWESOME! So once again a BIG thanks!

Today I wanted to show how much fun it is to create cards with this kit! I am always looking for boy cards, and I seem to always run out of them! So I thought lets show you how amazing this kit is to create some fun cards for you little man (or big man)hehehe!

I made three cards today:

For the first card I love the view finder by Basic Grey!  I knew I wanted to use the slots for part of the sentiment.  I layered the Hey BOY diecut in the centre to create the Hey Boy, I love you sentiment.  The four corner I used the Tim Holtz Rub-ons.  Here is card #1

A close up:

For the next card, it involved a lot of layering. I added the Hello bingo card and fussy cut the ROCK STAR speech bubble out of the patterned paper. I added some stickers and some rub-ons too!  I did add some twine from my stash to complete the card. Here is card #2 (hello Rock Star!)

For the last card I wanted to use the Super Hero layered stickers, so I used the Basic Grey Filmstrip piece to frame them on the card. I added some stickers to finish of the To My Boy Card:

Thanks so much again for letting me share my creations with you! It has been an absolute blast!

Mama's Boy with Boys Rule Kits!

You have all heard me rave about the awesome kits that Boys Rule Kits puts together! I am still playing with my Nov/Dec Kit, and I LOVE it! I created this layout:

OUT FOR PUBLICATION

I loved this sheet of patterned paper by Pink Paislee! It already has open spots to put photos (which I used all three!) and then I did a lot of layering on top of the other circles. Here I added some pop up stars with my star punch and I also cut out some stars from one of the sheets of patterned paper. I then popped up another small heart that I punched out:

I even added some extra circles to the layout:

And of course to go with the title of the layout, I really wanted to highlight the picture of me with my son. I used most of the arrows that I could find in the kit (and there are a lot!) ) I punched out one more arrow to finish off the circle of arrows:

Thanks for joining me today! Be sure to stop by my blog for my inspired ideas!

BOYS RULE SCRAPBOOK KIT REVEAL!

So happy to be part of this amazing kit club, for the next two months! You don't want to miss out on this  kit, I am seriously in LOVE with it! Today I am sharing with you my first project on their blog!

This kit has so many different possibilities!  I decided for my first layout to create it based on the Simple Stories 3 X 4 Cards and Stickers. I used several cards and cut some of them to work on top of other cards to create a fun, grid-like layout.

I used a circle punch to punch out the hand on the HIGH FIVE card, and added a popped up circle photo in the missing spot, I then used the hand as an embellishment.

I used the stickers from the Simple Stories Snap sheets to embellish some of the cards too:

Finally- the journaling!  My son this past summer, LOVED tubing, I was a nervous wreck, as he couldn’t go fast enough! He has always been a thrill seeker!

I am so looking forward to the next couple of months with BOYS RULE KITS! I hope to inspire you to help you get your craft on.
