Inspiration Elevator Reveal

This is a very exciting day! First off I am very happy (over the moon happy!) to be asked to join a wonderful group of super talented ladies that I have been following on their creative adventure this past year through their challenges with Inspiration Elevator!  I have marveled over their creativity, different styles, and their inspiration.  This marks their ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!  YIPPEE!!  And now, I am happy to embark on the journey of creative growth with them this year! Thanks so much for this opportunity ladies, I hope I don't disappoint!

Here is the challenge for the month:
To celebrate our first anniversary and our fabulous designers, Christa and Ann decided to challenge our designers to take an in-depth look at a fellow designer's artistic portfolio via her blog, choose elements from that designers creations, and incorporate them into her
own work. In other words, we are encouraging a scrapLIFT! Rather than a mere copy of someone else’s work, this is a stylistic scraplift that should inspire each designer to grow creatively as she is inspired, yet remain true to her own style.
I was super LUCKY to be able to lift ANN JOBES.... I have been at Ann's side at crops, and marveled at her work... wondering HOW DOES SHE DO THAT?!  Her style is completely different from mine, and I am so envious of her work, and mixed media style! She always has new techniques to share, and things that make me go HMMMMM... why didn't I think of that?! A true genius in the crafting industry!  So my challenge-  channel my INNER ANN!
Okay, I won't lie, I was nervous to get all messy in my craft room! I have been on Ann's blog a hundred times this month, and I knew I wanted to incorporate molding paste onto my layout, and stencils... I have to admit too, with everything going on in my life, I did leave it to the last minute BUT I work amazingly under pressure (at least I think so!).... So I lifted a recent layout of Ann's but incorporated my bright and happy style into the layout!  Here is my layout:

EEKK!! I know.. one of my favorite layouts so far this year!! Here is the layout I lifted that Ann posted for a sketch challenge for My Sketch World:
I loved the fact that Ann loves to do so many techniques! For my layout I used a Crafters Workshop Chicken Wire Mask and misted with some Dylusional Spray Ink and Stephanie Barnard Spray Mist. I then added some Molding Paste around the edges immediately so it would soak up the color of the mist; to create a border like she did! I then ran this a texturing tool (don't even know what its called (LOL!) ) I have had it for years, and never really knew what to do with it!)  to create the lines and textures in the border and it mixed up the colors really well!

I combined a couple of kits from this past month- Cocoa Daisy and Scraptastic to pull the body of the layout together... and voila!  Its done and I LOVE it!  Thanks for the awesome inspiration, ANN, and now the best part.... a RAK!!!

Here is what you have to do to win a RAK from me:
  • Leave a comment on my blog
  • Become a follower (if you already are a follower mention that in your comment)
  • Become a follower on the Inspiration Elevator Challenge Site: HERE
I have a extra Spellbinders Die Set that is AMAZING and I use it all the time to make flowers from Heartfelt Creations!  I made a tissue paper flower from it in the previous post to this one... and the best news... IT CAN BE YOURS!!  Just follow the instructions above and I will choose a random winner and the winner will be posted on the Inspiration Elevator blog on April 24th!  (Don't forget you can play along too with this month's challenge!!

Be sure to Hop along for more Inspiration:
