Inspiration Elevator Reveal!

You may recall that the purpose of this challenge group is to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to grow as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and grow. You can view all of the challenges on my blog by clicking here or check our our new Inspiration Elevator Blog, here.

This month, our challenge comes from the talented Laura Whitaker. Laura's challenge, in her own words, is as follows:

"As we welcome spring, scrap something to do with a new beginning, it could be an opportunity, a relationship, or even the world's reawakening after it's long winter's nap. Don't forget to journal and describe why you have chosen your topic."

We would also like to welcome our May Guest Designer, Denise Morrison. Her arsty, eclectic style inspires her followers to see how "Life is Yummy" at her blog!

I hope you will stop by and see what our designers on this adventure have created:

SO.... for this challenge it usually would be REALLY hard for me to think of something for a new beginning, BUT this time around, I have to say was bit on the simple side, since many of my blog followers know I am MOVING very shortly, and it will be a HUGE new beginning starting in a new smaller town, switching my kids in school, getting the daycare up and running.  NEW routines, NEW town, NEW house... phew, an absolute new beginning for me and my family!  Here is the layout I created about our new beginning:

I used some Teresa Collins Memories Collection and some pieces from my Scraptastic Kit- Awake my Soul Kit.  To challenge myself, I wanted to focus on the journaling, and I thought what would bring the layout together....I decided to add a library folder and place the new house picture on top but journaled inside:

Yes, that is some empty space there, because I want to fill it with some moving photos (my husband doesn't think I will have "time" to take photos... but a few quick shots will make this layout complete!)  Some other detail shots:

Yes that is our moving date!
Thanks so much for the AWESOME Challenge Laura!!! AND... the best thing is I AM GOING TO BE OFFERING A RAK!! I am going to put together a little PROJECT LIFE KIT for one lucky person!!! I have been collecting again, and I don't want to have MOVE it to the new house, so become a follower of my blog and leave a comment and a this PL kit could be yours! There's stamps, Pretty Little Studios, Elle's Studio, Ribbon, October Afternoon and soooo much more!!! You have until May 22nd!  Good Luck!!!

Here is the Kit, with more going in it all the time!

Congrats on the new home, Jodi! We are in our third house now, but I'm afraid to start looking because with every new home, I was pregnant! LOL! Love the soft colours and all of your details, but of course, the journaling folder is my favourite! :)

Such a beautiful layout and I can't be more thrilled for you that you got the house of your dreams and everything fell into place like it did! We made a similar move 15 minutes away last year to a different town and school district and while my kindergarter (at the time) didn't keep in touch with her friends, my 5th grader regularly gets together with her best friend from the old school. In the end it was such a good move for us and I have a feeling it will all work out well for you too! :)

What a great moment to capture!!! Congrats! I LOVE how you incorporated the journaling into your page- I always forget that is an option and end up squeezing a lot of writing just under the title or some other tiny spot. The colors are FANTASTIC and I love your clean and simple design- fantastic page!
