Project Life WEEK FIVE

Yes! I am back at it and DETERMINED to catch up on my Project Life! The past month we have had 3 basketball tournaments, so any fun scrappy time has been really hard to fit it! BUT the best thing is I have lots of photos to document once I get caught up on my PL! Today I am sharing my week five! I used the SIMPLY PUT by Doodlebug Design! LOVE these cards and this collection- Kraft in Color!  I paired it up with some Dies and Stamps from Technique Tuesday! I recently have fallen IN LOVE with all their project on the Technique Tuesday Blog, and I think it fits my PL and Scrapbooking style to a tee!  Here is my Double Page Layout:

I love the stamp WHAT A FUN WEEK!!! so cute!!!

For my main journaling card, I added some Doodlepops to embellish the card and then added some stamps to the PL card that I cut up to fit the card too!

Don't you just love those funny faces!!!! I can see me using these on a lot of pages!

I even stamped on some "white space"on one of my photos! LOVE how this spread turned out!

Project Life with Bella Blvd

Good Morning Blog Readers!

Today is my turn up on the Bella Blvd Blog! Today is Project Life Inspiration, and I did one half of a page for week 7! I really wanted to focus on the Family Forever collection since we had such a fun day on Family Day that week at the Ice Caves in Crystal Beach! For this layout, I created it without the use of any patterned paper! Yep, all the candid cards and stickers and diecuts! How easy is that! The cards are so super cute!  Here is the layout:

Some detailed shots:

Super cute right!?

Be sure to check out more PL inspired projects on the Bella Blog!

Project Life- WEEK FOUR

YES! I have completed a WHOLE month of Project LIFE... so super proud of myself!  lol!  This week I had some leftover Jillibean Soup from a bunch of Cards that I made over Christmas, so I thought it would be perfect for a nice Wintery Week that we had. Here is the double Spread:

Right Side:

I even dug into some of my Jillibean Soup Stamps! They are perfect for making your own PL cards! I used some PL grid cards and stamped on them like here:

Another favourite Stamp from that collection is the THUMBS UP! I love it! And used it as an embellishment for giving my son a "thumbs up!"on his selfie that he drew (on his own for fun!)

A couple more detail photos for ya! Yep that is Scrappy Doo all over my Scrap  Table on Friday Night scrapping with my friend, Deanna!

And I am sure (if you were one of my contacts...) you all knew about my trip to the Ukraine!  Glad you all knew I was safe! lol!

Voila!  Another week done (ONE MONTH DONE!!)  and am loving it! So stay tuned for week five coming soon!

Project Life- Week Two

So far, So good! I am keeping up with PL! Hoping to stay on top of things, and LOVE the fact that I can print out my photos from my printer! Here is WEEK TWO's Spread:

I actually REALLY like how this turned out! I love that I am staying true to my style, even while using PL.  Here is the left side of the spread:

I am really trying to take pictures of everyday moments, not just my kids posing... (well not posing to much anyways!)... I love the photo of Taylor colouring and drawing... because that is really her favourite thing to do right now. And even thought the picture of Josh when he was sick is a terrible photo, I LOVE that I have it recorded! I also used an app on my phone-instaweather, to get the photo/weather outside my house on a super cold night.  The rainbow at the top of the journaling card I have been hoarding for at least two years!  It was a digital image that I loved and colored in, and had no idea what I would do with it, and so it went into my PL do-hickey bin.

Here is the Right Side:

This weekend was a busy weekend, as we were away at a basketball tournament in Brantford, so I knew that was going to be most of my focus on the second page. I love that all my shots were "action" and in the moment shots, and not Jordan posing at all!  Here are some close ups:

Another thing I am trying to do on my PL spreads is USE MY STAMPS! I found an old arrow stamp package from Sassfrass, that I obviously couldn't throw away, and so I added black arrows to ground the spread, and bring some cohesiveness and flow to both of the pages.

So are you keeping up with PL? I would LOVE to here from you!

PROJECT LIFE WEEK ONE!

Yes I did it again! I am attempting Project LIFE! I loved the (GULP) five weeks I did last year!  At that point thought I was disorganized, decided to move and had major renos to do on the house, and keeping up with my reg DT stuff. It proved to be too big of a task for me!  Soooo you ask... how am I going to keep up this time?  Read on to find out! BUT first I want to share with you my "start" page. I didn't even get this accomplished last year, so this was a major  feat by itself!

So one of my *to be organized* tips is to KISS (keep it simple stupid!)  I was really concerned with DESIGN and overall impression... this time around, I really just want to tell the story!  I have the PL Honey Collection and some grid cards and mixed some Jillibean soup letters and corrugated people to create my title page. I love how it turned out! I love how simple it is, and still ME!  One last thing... NO POP UPS! Thats right no foam tape, nothing! For those of you who know me I go through this stuff like crazy on my layouts... but if I really want to create an entire album that is going to fit... i promised myself not to use any!

Now onto week one:

One thing I did do is get a photo printer to help print out my photos! Before I was driving 30 minutes away to print out the photos, and this was a task in itself!  Another FUN thing is I have a cell phone now so lugging around my big camera isn't needed (as much!) to capture all the moments that I want to capture!

Some detail shots:

Some more Honey Collection as well as some Echo Park Photo Freedom going on here!

I cringed... yep! I got tape on my photo... but I still put it in... yep... just tell the story is my main goal, right??

Digging into my stash is easy now that I have my PL cart :)  My Christmas present to myself:

YEP! Love this cart!! On the side instead of ribbon I have my washi tape in the top slots I stickers, Elle's Studio, cards, Grid cards etc... LOTS of fun stuff.... In the three drawers--- Dew hickies :)  bits and bobs (flair, buttons, die cuts, and more fun!)... in the second drawer... favourite stamps of mine for PL... and the bottom  my PL Honey Collection, Photo Freedom, and anything else that I think might work too!

Project Share with Imaginisce

Howdy folks! Everyone getting ready for Christmas?! Things are buckling down here and the snow is falling and is AWESOME for Christmas! It has been super busy around here with me working, and my husband working 60 plus hours a week... its hard to believe we got anything done! Today I wanted to share with you my Project Share Project with Imaginisce. I love doing Project Life layouts now, and am hoping to get started on a Project Life Album (yet again!) this year! Today I created a layout that highlights some Christmas moments from last year:

If you can believe I used FOUR snag em stamps on this! Yep, I am addicted to these little stamps and they work perfectly for Project Life. I combined the Colors of Christmas with The Honey Collection, as well as some grid cards too!
